As a therapist, I understand that the decision to pursue therapy can be a difficult one. In my practice, I take a strengths-based, trauma-informed approach to therapy rooted in feminist and decolonial values. I implement different modalities to individualize treatment for my clients, primarily drawing on psychodynamic theory, relational therapy, narrative therapy, and trauma-focused cognitive behavioral therapy (TF-CBT). I view therapy as a collaborative partnership, and I prioritize clients’ right to self-determination; this means that I center you as the expert in your own life and experiences as we work together. My clinical approach is LGBTQIA+ affirming, harm reductive, and informed by disability justice. We will work at a pace that feels safest to you because I understand that experiencing painful emotions or revisiting difficult experiences can be overwhelming. We can work together to explore different options so that you feel as comfortable as possible in session and beyond.

I am sex positive, kink and BDSM friendly, and I welcome working with expansive relationship and family structures (polycules, polyamory, and nonmonogamy). I understand the inextricable links between sex, sexuality, and mental health—and this has led to my passion for working with queer and gender expansive populations. I am also passionate about working with people who have survived trauma, and I bring clinical experience working with survivors of sexual assault and domestic violence. Furthermore, I am in the process of pursuing my certification as a perinatal mental health clinician (PMH-C), and I am committed to supporting clients anywhere along the spectrum of their reproductive journeys from infertility and pregnancy loss to birth, postpartum, and beyond.

I obtained my dual master’s degree in clinical social work and Women’s and Gender Studies from Loyola University Chicago, so my understanding of mental health is rooted in the belief that negative mental health outcomes do not arise in a vacuum; rather, broader systemic factors inform our well-being. I trained with Chicago Women’s Health Center as a counseling intern during my last year of graduate school, where I became more familiar with somatic psychotherapy and feminist-relational therapy. I am also trained as an abortion doula with Chicago Women’s Health Center, and I completed the Network’s 40-hour domestic violence training.

More About Me

  • In my free time, I love spending time at the lakefront, walking my dog, baking, and traveling. I have also engaged in community organizing in Chicago, and the framework of restorative justice is one that I bring to my work as a therapist.
