I view therapy as a collaborative and dynamic process where we explore the patterns and experiences that may be keeping you from living your most authentic, value-centered life. Our mental health and self-narratives are profoundly shaped by the systems of privilege and oppression we navigate daily. I approach each client with curiosity and care, crafting a treatment plan that is unique to your needs. My work is informed by culturally responsive care, neurobiology, and mindfulness-based practices, all framed within a relational and trauma-informed lens. Through evidence-based modalities, I aim to help you approach life’s complexities with greater clarity, resilience, and connection.
Building a strong and lasting therapeutic alliance is central to my approach. I believe trust, equity, and empathy are the foundation of meaningful work in therapy. Using a blend of humor, honest feedback, and collaborative effort, I strive to create an inclusive space where you feel understood, valued, and empowered.
My clinical practice is rooted in a passion for working with individuals, couples, and families on issues such as perinatal and reproductive mental health, trauma, relationship challenges, and identity exploration. I have a particular focus on supporting clients who have experienced complex trauma or who come from families with challenging dynamics. I am deeply committed to providing affirming care for queer and gender-expansive clients, couples, and those in non-traditional or expansive relationship structures. I also implement sex-positive and kink-friendly therapy practices, helping clients explore sexuality, intimacy, and relationships. Additionally, I have a strong interest in working with perinatal clients as they navigate the joys and challenges of parenthood. My approach integrates modalities like the NeuroAffective Relational Model (NARM), Emotionally Focused Therapy (EFT), and mindfulness techniques to help clients feel more grounded in their bodies and relationships.
Before joining Wildflower, I earned my Master of Social Work and Bachelor of Science in Psychology from Loyola University Chicago. Over the past seven years, I have worked with adolescents, adults, couples, and families in various settings, including nonprofits, hospitals, and group practices. My professional background includes supporting clients through anxiety, depression, crises, trauma, and relational challenges. These experiences have shaped my ability to adapt my approach to each client’s unique needs and goals. I feel deeply grateful to be a therapist and to walk alongside individuals as they navigate their journeys toward growth and healing.
