My therapeutic identity is rooted in the belief that we are the experts of our own personal experiences and deserve individual autonomy within therapy. Every step of the way, this space is for you.
As we work together, my job will be to offer a place to reflect, collaborate, and honor your progress. My approach is rooted in anti-oppressive, feminist relational work, client-centered therapy, and behavioral awareness when beneficial. During our time, I may offer opportunities to tap into how feelings are showing up in your body through somatic work and can also offer mindfulness meditation as a component to our time if that speaks to you. I believe that therapy can be a medium through which we can process impactful moments and can also be a tool for riding the waves of the everyday. Whether you are working through getting a deeper understanding of a specific event, a relationship, an identity, or just plain life, I’d like to walk alongside you as you live out your values.
I received my Master’s degree in social work from the University of Chicago’s Crown Family School of Social Work, Policy, and Practice. I received training in Client-Centered Therapy, Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT), Motivational Interviewing, and Psychodynamic Therapy. During my training year with Chicago Women’s Health Center, I became experienced in somatic work and feminist relational therapy as well. It is my hope that people of all backgrounds and identities can feel welcome in the therapeutic space; I am sex-positive, trauma-informed, LGBTQIA2S+ & kink/BDSM-friendly, and welcoming of expansive family/relationship structures (poly/constellations). I also became a parent during the pandemic. As I have learned to embody this role during these unprecedented times, I feel that it is more important than ever to strive for flexibility and adaptation when needed. Perinatal mental health is one of my core areas of clinical interest and I am committed to ongoing training in this specialty.
Before training to become a therapist, I spent almost a decade working within arts and cultural nonprofits. My work with 2nd Story, a storytelling collective focused on true first-person narrative storytelling, has shaped my therapeutic lens and is the reason why I deeply respect the vulnerability it takes for someone to share their story with me.

While I love to travel, Chicago is my home and I love spending time taking long walks through different neighborhoods.
My black Chihuahua, Paulina, is my steadfast companion when meeting for sessions virtually.
